Position OverviewThis role combines hands-on massage therapy with leadership responsibilities.

You'll provide exceptional client care while helping maintain the high standards that define our studio.

As additional providers join our team, you'll become an important mentor who leads by example and helps maintain consistency in service quality.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Help create and maintain a positive team culture 
• Assist with interviewing and evaluating massage therapist candidates 
• Participate in hands-on interviews when hiring 
• Mentor new therapists during onboarding 
• Help maintain scheduling standards 
• Provide support when providers need guidance 
• Assist with shift coverage during unexpected illnesses when possible 
• Maintain consistent treatment quality throughout the team 
• Help ensure company policies and professional standards are followed 
• Lead through professionalism rather than micromanagement 

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional massage therapy treatments 
• Customize treatments based on client goals 
• Build long-term client relationships 
• Educate clients on treatment recommendations 
• Recommend appropriate retail products when beneficial 
• Complete SOAP notes accurately and promptly 
• Maintain treatment room cleanliness and organization 
• Protect client confidentiality 
• Uphold the highest ethical standards 

Client Experience ResponsibilitiesBecause this is a boutique wellness studio, every team member contributes to the overall client experience.

This includes:

• Greeting clients warmly 
• Creating a welcoming atmosphere 
• Checking clients in and out when needed 
• Assisting with rebooking appointments 
• Answering basic client questions 
• Recommending retail products when appropriate 
• Helping keep the studio beautiful and inviting

Minimum QualificationsRequired:

• Current Massage Therapy License 
• Minimum 5 years professional massage therapy experience (preferred; exceptionally qualified candidates with 2+ years may be considered) 
• Current driver's license 
• Current professional liability (malpractice) insurance 
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and treatment planning 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Ability to work independently 
• Professional appearance and demeanor 
• Reliable transportation 

Preferred:

• Previous leadership experience 
• Experience mentoring other therapists 
• Retail sales experience 
• Experience in a luxury spa or medical massage environment 
• Experience with multiple massage modalities
