The City of Concord is currently seeking to fill one Senior Desktop Engineer vacancy in the Information Technology Department. The Information Development Department: The mission of the Information Technology Department is to ensure Concord's technology portfolio provides the appropriate set of tools required for delivering high-quality services to internal departments, Concord residents, and other agencies in a consistent manner sustainable over the 10-year budget horizon.

What you will be doing:

• Leading and inspiring a team of Service Desk Technicians to deliver exceptional desktop support services across the organization.
• Developing and delivering technical trainings and documentation to empower technology users.
• Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets and overseeing asset lifecycle replacement project.
• Participating and making recommendations for IT planning and improvement projects.
• Administering and maintaining Active Directory ensuring secure and efficient user authentication and access control.
• Monitoring and managing the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of user request and incidents.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues to ensure minimal disruption to customers.
• Designing and implementing scripts to automate software deployment and streamline repetitive tasks.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about Information Technology
• Has experience leading and directing the work of others.
• Has excellent oral and written communication skills and can effectively coordinate with stakeholders and third party vendors
• Displays a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service, with excellent listening and communication skills
• Has the ability to stay abreast of technological changes and best practices, making recommendations for changes or improvements to systems
• Displays honesty, adherence to principles, and personal accountability
• Embraces, promotes, and is guided by the City's Mission, Vision and Values
