Overview The Goddard School of Jamison is a premier early childhood education center where curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning flourish every day. We are currently seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teachers in the Infant Program of our Pennsylvania Keystone STARS 4 rated school which has earned both National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) recognition. Responsibilities Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance Establish positive and effective family relations Ensure an effective program, responsive to children’s needs Maintain professional commitment Qualifications Educational Requirements High school graduate (at least 18 years of age) Meet the requirements set forth by the state licensing agencies which include, but are not limited to: 2 years experience working with children 1 year experience working with children & 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field CDA degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field Preferred but not required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field CDA credential Previous experience in a licensed child care center or preschool Experience working with toddlers or two-year olds All candidates must be able to pass required background checks and health clearances.
