Senior Financial Analyst

Insight Hospital and Medical Center Chicago is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Finance Department. The role involves analyzing historical financial data, forecasting, monthly profit and loss closing, budget participation, and providing key analytics to management. Role Summary The Senior Financial Analyst provides analytical support for the Finance Department. Responsibilities include analyzing past financial data to spot trends and assess risks, performing financial forecasts, reconciling internal accounts, supporting monthly, quarter and year end closings, preparing financial related analysis, supporting ad-hoc reports, creating materials for management reviews and participating in the annual budget process and cost saving initiatives. Responsibilities Prepares profitability and statistical analyses at various levels for monthly and YTD periods. Develops, maintains, and utilizes data sets required to support key reporting activities. Supports monthly close and quarterly reviews providing analytics to controller and leadership. Supports budget reviews and cost savings initiatives through producing analytics to support decision making. Performs additional duties as needed, including advanced ad-hoc reports. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics. Three years of experience working as a financial analyst or senior level accountant. Ability to work with large datasets. Good analysis, problem solving, and solutioning skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Great team player and organized. Proven efficiency in Excel, Word, and MS Office. Benefits Paid Sick Time – effective 90 days after employment. Paid Vacation Time – effective 90 days after employment.
