Location Hampton, VA Department/Unit Overview Sentara CarePlex Hospital Emergency Department focuses on providing exceptional emergency service to patients. The ED has 43 beds, including 11 fast‑track beds for patients with shorter lengths of stay. Emergency physicians are board‑certified. All emergency nurses undergo specialized training in emergency care and have received Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric certifications. Education Associate, Bachelor, Master, or diploma in the Nursing Field required Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) NIH Stroke Scale Experience Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN ER experience. Primary Responsibilities Assess and admit patients, perform rounding checks, administer medications, communicate with family members, and be responsible for the overall care of patients.
