Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to care interventions throughout the shift
• Supervise clinical staff to whom appropriate patient care tasks have been delegated
• Support facility nursing leadership in maintaining high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
• Ensure competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or a compact state license that permits practice in Texas
• Clinical experience in Labor and Delivery
• Ability to perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Demonstrated ability to delegate and supervise clinical staff appropriately

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in acute care settings
• Experience supporting nursing leadership initiatives related to quality and patient safety
