Delivery Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and premiums, which may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if the applicable criteria are met. Job Description The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Responsibilities Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently. Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean and maintained; perform daily vehicle inspections before operating. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, core, etc.) and complete driver return slips. Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure the fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day. Clock in and out according to company policy. Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, and assisting customers as needed. Qualifications Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Adaptability to changing delivery situations. Driving record meeting the company’s 14/18‑point standard. Legally required state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements. Desired: Familiarity with automotive parts, ability to operate light store equipment, and fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
