Role Description The CT Technologist is a full-time, on-site role located in Akron, OH, responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols. This role includes preparing and positioning patients, operating CT equipment, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for physicians and care teams. The CT Technologist verifies patient information, explains procedures, monitors patient safety and comfort, and adheres to radiation safety guidelines and infection control standards. Daily responsibilities also involve collaborating with radiologists and other clinical staff, documenting procedures in the electronic medical record, and maintaining equipment and work areas in compliance with regulatory and hospital policies. The technologist contributes to a patient-focused environment by providing respectful, clear communication and supporting the organization’s quality and safety initiatives. Qualifications Certification and professional credentials: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiography and CT, or eligibility and commitment to obtain CT certification within a defined timeframe. Technical and clinical imaging expertise: Proficiency in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, including performing CT examinations, optimizing image quality, and following established imaging protocols. Safety and compliance knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of Radiation Safety principles, dose optimization, and adherence to regulatory and institutional safety standards. Clinical care and medical knowledge: Solid foundation in Medicine as it relates to diagnostic imaging, anatomy and physiology, and the ability to recognize urgent or unexpected findings and elevate appropriately. Additional preferred qualifications: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program; state licensure as required; prior CT experience in a hospital or acute care setting; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed; commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and culturally competent patient care. #J-18808-Ljbffr
