Requirement/Must Have:
- Entry-level position.
- Working knowledge and experience with Autodesk Inventor.
- Basic CAD drafting and design experience.
- Ability to create and modify engineering drawings and models.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work onsite and comfortably commute to the worksite.
- Understand drafting methods, standards and procedures.
- Understand manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Possesses basic knowledge of the mechanical and, depending on seniority, partial to total knowledge of the electrical and electronic Product Line.
- Create and modify CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Support engineering and manufacturing teams with drafting and design activities.
- Assist with tolerance analysis and drawing updates.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
- Work within company drafting standards and design processes.
- Support projects from concept through manufacturing and implementation.
- Prepare and maintain engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings and other related documentation per standards.
- Consider methods of manufacture and tolerance and their effect on related parts or assemblies.
- Function as a design engineer for routine/correction.
- Prepare average complexity original mechanical layouts using the CAD system.
- Use the CAD system to prepare and maintain highest complexity mechanical and average complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings.
- Maintain status reports on all projects assigned.
- Responsible for preparing and maintaining mold drawings for Tooling work orders.
- Create and revise mold component bills of materials for mold and fixture design.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production and R&D to improve and standardize existing and future mold designs.
- Work hands on when needed with mold assembly, disassembly, inspection, measuring, and reverse engineering.
- Troubleshoot complex tooling, equipment, and process problems.
- Develop manufacturing methods leading to improved safety, quality, and delivery at reduced costs.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned drafting projects.
- Perform various other duties and activities within the physical constraints of the job.
- Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Experience performing tolerance studies.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 drafting standards.
- Training, coursework, certification, technical degree, or documented experience in CAD design or drafting.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Autodesk Inventor.
