Generous 401k match Paid time off Bonus potential Overview Works closely with direct supervision to coordinate all activities required to effectively lay out work, set-up appropriate machines or equipment to meet or exceed fabrication and customer requirements per design specifications and published schedules. Efficiently utilizes resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor. Responsibilities Consistently meet and exceed deadlines for assigned tasks Efficiently produce parts that meet and exceed quality standards as determined by the Production Supervisor and/or Quality Inspector Train to perform set ups and operation of the below machinery properly and safely: Shear Riveter Drill Press Strippit Punch Press Roller Disk Sander Portable Power Tools Band Saw Table Saw Miter Saw Hand Brake Manual Brake Press Mill Lathe Trouble-shoot machine problems and perform preventative maintenance May be moved and cross –trained on several pieces of equipment so as to develop a core understanding of manufacturing concepts. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualifications Must have a High School Degree or GED equivalent Solid work history or school/academic record Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions including but not limited to basic correspondence and blueprints Learn to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, and volume Learn and use basic concepts of geometry Ability to apply a common sense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Learn and become certified to use Fork lift and overhead crane Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
