Job Summary This role supports the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) Vital Statistics System, requiring an experienced RPG/AS400 Programmer Analyst to maintain and enhance business-critical legacy enterprise applications on the IBM AS400 platform. The position is 100% on-site in Montgomery, AL with no remote work, and offers a 6-month contract with potential conversion to Alabama State Merit System employment. Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance the ADPH Vital Statistics System Develop and modify RPG applications Troubleshoot production issues Perform testing and validation Document changes and procedures Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders Support enterprise metrics initiatives Must-Have Requirements 8 years of verifiable RPG programming experience IBM AS400 platform experience Experience within the last 12-15 years Business-critical application support experience Eligible for Alabama State Merit System employment Required Skills Required Technologies
