Surestaff is immediately hiring Packaging Assistants / General Labor for a candy manufacturing facility in DeKalb, IL. This company is a well-known producer of sweet treats enjoyed nationwide. Packaging Assistants will be responsible for packing finished goods, assembling cartons, and assisting with various production tasks to ensure smooth operations on the production line.

Looking for flexibility? This could be the perfect fit! This position is ideal for students, part-timers, or anyone looking for a flexible weekday schedule. The facility operates Monday through Friday and schedules shift needs daily some days they need more people, some days less.

Available shifts:

• 1st Shift: 4:00 AM 2:00 PM | $15.75/hr
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM 12:00 AM | $16.00/hr

Shifts are scheduled daily and communicated via text. Candidates must be responsive and reliable.

Responsibilities of the Packaging Assistant:

• Pack finished goods according to quality and safety standards
• Assist with assembling cartons and preparing product for shipment
• Load product into machines and alert team of any equipment issues
• Perform visual quality checks to ensure consistency
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Rotate between workstations as needed to support production flow

Required Qualifications of the Packaging Assistant:

• Ability to follow instructions and maintain a steady workflow
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive environment
• Must be open to flexible, changing schedules and available for text-based communication
• Attendance at orientation is required prior to first day of work
