About the Position

We are seeking an Anesthetist to join our client in New Mexico for a 42-day assignment beginning Sept 20, 2024. This role involves providing independent anesthesia services, covering both operating room and obstetrics during scheduled weeks. The Anesthetist will primarily cover OR cases Monday through Friday, with OB-only call on weekends, managing a mix of general anesthesia, orthopedics, and light OB cases, requiring proficiency in regional, spinal, and epidural techniques. Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide independent anesthesia care.
• Administer general anesthesia for diverse surgical procedures, including orthopedics.
• Deliver anesthesia services for light obstetrics cases.
• Perform regional, spinal, and epidural blocks.
• Manage a patient volume of approximately 70–115 cases per month, including roughly 7 OB cases.
• Participate in call, averaging 1–2 call-backs per week.
• Cover OR cases Monday through Friday, and OB-only call on weekends.

• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call Schedule: Out of house call, including OB-only call on weekends
• Patients per day: 5 to 15
