Electrician As an Electrician for Valleywise Health, you will maintain, install, and repair the hospital's electrical systems, ensuring operational functionality while prioritizing safety for patients, employees, and guests. Experience Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a journeyman electrician, preferably in an industrial or hospital setting. Specialized Training Completion of electrical apprenticeship required. Certification/Licensure Requires possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid Arizona issued driver’s license in good standing, and must carry the Arizona legally required minimum insurance coverage on personal vehicle at all times. This position requires operation of a vehicle. Employment is contingent upon meeting the driving eligibility standards outlined in the Valleywise Health Vehicle Use Policy (VUP). Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English. Creativity, initiative, independent thinking, and problem‑solving skills are strongly preferred. Working knowledge of fire protection and other building systems codes, OSHA requirements, and safe working techniques and procedures. Proven ability to take and follow directions in the daily performance of duties. Ability to work independently with limited guidance. Excellent communication, organizing, time management, and interpersonal skills. Self‑motivated and a self‑starter. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
