HVAC Technician

HVAC TechnicianAt Philip Morris International (PMI), we're transforming our business to deliver a smoke-free future. This transformation creates opportunities for talented individuals to help build more efficient, agile, and customer-focused operations.The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving HVAC and refrigeration systems that support manufacturing operations, warehouses, laboratories, offices, and employee facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesRepair, maintain, troubleshoot, and install HVAC, chiller, and air handling equipment.Monitor and adjust temperature, humidity, airflow, and ventilation systems.Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, refrigeration, and control system issues.Maintain and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls.Repair or replace components including motors, compressors, belts, bearings, valves, sensors, filters, and fans.Respond to equipment failures and facility issues to minimize production disruptions.Complete work orders and document activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Participate in scheduled shutdowns, weekend maintenance, and on-call support as needed.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Technical training in HVAC, Refrigeration, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.Minimum two years of industrial or commercial HVAC experience.Knowledge of HVAC controls, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, building automation systems, and single- and three-phase circuits.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, control circuits, and equipment layouts.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS software.Preferred QualificationsJourneyman HVAC License or equivalent certification.Experience with industrial chillers, boiler systems, compressed air systems, and environmental control systems.Experience with SAP or other maintenance management software.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and mechanical spaces.Hourly Rate: $39.90PMI offers competitive compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, wellness programs, paid time off, and more.Philip Morris International is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
