Full-Time • Caldwell Terminal

Leonard’s Express is seeking a driven, hands-on Fleet Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of our Caldwell, ID terminal. This role is central to maintaining a safe, compliant, and high-performing fleet while supporting drivers, Driver Advocates, and terminal leadership. As the direct right hand to the Terminal Director, the Fleet Manager ensures smooth operations, strong morale, and consistent execution across all terminal priorities.

What You’ll Lead

• Fleet-wide performance outcomes across safety, service, productivity, utilization, and retention .
• A team of Driver Advocates , providing coaching, development, and clear performance expectations.
• Day-to-day terminal operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution across drivers and equipment.
• Direct support to the Terminal Director , stepping in on driver issues and operational priorities as needed.
• Team morale and engagement, keeping drivers and Driver Advocates focused and motivated in high-pressure environments.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Safety, Maintenance, Planning , and other internal teams to keep the fleet moving smoothly.
• Monitoring fleet performance data, identifying trends, and taking decisive action to improve outcomes.

What You Bring

• Proven ability to own fleet performance and drive accountability across teams.
• Experience coaching and developing Driver Advocates and drivers.
• Strong operational management skills at the terminal level.
• Collaborative problem-solving mindset with the ability to work through the right channels to resolve issues.
• Motivational presence and composure in demanding, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and follow-through.
• Responsive, hands-on support aligned with terminal leadership priorities.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred .
• 3+ years of related experience in transportation, fleet operations, or driver leadership.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Experience with systems such as TMW and Microsoft Office products.
