Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Massachusetts

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12 hour Night Shift)

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality care for mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a team of obstetricians, midwives, and nursing staff to meet the individualized needs and preferences of patients in a serene and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support patients during labor and delivery
• Provide individualized nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and infants
• Administer medications and monitor patient status
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records
• Educate patients and their families on post-delivery care and infant health

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of current Labor and Delivery experience
• Experience in Post Partum and Mother Baby care
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Massachusetts RN license
• Current certifications: American Heart Association BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE Certification
• Completed skills checklists for Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, and Mother Baby care
• Supervisory reference from the past two years of employment
