The Role: Forge’s software engineering team is passionate about innovation and building scalable solutions that drive liquidity and growth in the private market. Our teams are leveraging a broad range of new technologies and are well-versed in delivering high quality, innovative solutions. We thrive on moving fast, delivering value, and living our values of being bold, humble, and accountable.We are seeking passionate engineers with at least 8 years of experience delivering innovative software solutions that are scalable, secure, and easy to maintain. The ideal candidate thrives in team settings, enjoys collaboration and mentoring engineers, and focuses on delivering value and making an impact. Location: This role requires 2-3 days a week in office in San Francisco, CA.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain web applications with marketplace middleware-specific business logicCommunicate with stakeholders. Work with Architects, Tech Leads, Product, and Design members to arrive at solutions that produce customer and business value.Develop concise, articulate, and detailed technical documentationLeverage Agile and Lean practicesDesign, build, and maintain automated tests (unit and at times integration), ensuring high code qualitySupport healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability are achievedQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of working experience in the field4+ years of software engineering experienceExpertise building APIs with C# and .NETExperience developing event-driven systems leveraging Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similarExperience with CQRS, Event Sourcing, or similar approachesExperience with SQL / Relational DatabasesProven track-record of teamwork and deliveryFintech or Financial services industry experience with working knowledge of financial regulators and their concernsPreferred Qualifications: Experience with multiple server-side programming languages Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) or Domain Driven DevelopmentExperience with CI/CD pipelines and managing application deploymentsWorking knowledge of the private marketFor residents of San Francisco, CA the annual salary range for this role is $169,000-$200,000 annual bonus.
