This is a full-time opportunity with the hours of 6:00am-2:30pm (1st shift). The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance operations at Eberhard Manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesTrouble Shooting All Mechanical ProblemsRepair of Machinery & BuildingPreventive MaintenanceResponsible for All Building & Machine RepairTow Motor & Crane OperationUse of All Maintenance MachineryEssential FunctionsBUILDING MAINTENANCE:Responsible for repairing and maintaining physical structures and utility systems of buildings – May include painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings of buildings and maintaining and repairing building utility systems, such as electrical wiring and controls, heating and ventilating systems and water distributing and plumbing systemsDiagnoses for problems and makes necessary repairsTasks vary daily and are assigned by need and urgency of maintenanceMACHINE MAINTENANCE & REPAIR:Repairs machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instrumentsDismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels and straightedges. Repairs or replaces defective parts, using hand tools and power tools.TOW MOTOR, CRANE & LIFT OPERATION:Operates tow motor and overhead crane to lift and move heavy partsOperates and balances in lift to reach high areasSupplemental Functions:Building Maintenance to Include Painting, Plumbing, Welding Repairs & FabricationChecking Scales DailyTrain Workers on Safety, Tool OperationMaintaining all Inspections requiredMinimum Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to Trouble Shoot Mechanical ProblemsBe Able to Make Repairs as necessaryAbility to stay current in preventive maintenanceParts purchasing experiencePreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Welding – Mig, Tig & StickMachine OperationTow Motor Weekly InspectionsTow Motor RepairsMachine Operation – Lathes, Mills & PressesMinimum 5 years experience in electrical and mechanical maintenanceFamiliar with OSHA regulations2-3 years – Time managementMinimum 2 years of Trade SchoolEmployment with Eberhard Manufacturing is "at-will", meaning that either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, in accordance with Ohio law.Eberhard Manufacturing Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
