Position Overview PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. We focus on supplying building materials and solutions to professional home builders of all sizes including custom builders, large production builders, and multifamily builders. Job title: Truss Builder Pay: Starting at $19 to $23 an hour, depending on experience + Production Incentive Schedule Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am to 4:30pm (Schedule subject to change based on business needs) Location: Deer Park, Washington Responsibilities Use hammer and nail plates to manufacture roof and floor trusses. Ensure quality and accuracy of trusses assembled. Work closely with the Sawyer and the Truss Stacker to ensure quality product and no defects before delivery. Inspect materials for damage prior to use (cracks in the boards, too much wane, mold, sun damage, etc.). Assist with unloading precut lumber from saws to building station, placing them in specified positions to increase efficiency while fabricating trusses. Use pull sheets to grab the correct amount of nail plates needed for current batch of trusses. Fabricate trusses by placing lumber onto fabrication table, assembling with nail plates and hammer. Ensure quality by following standard procedures (tight joints, no material defects, plates positioned properly). Work at a steady pace with sense of urgency. Work in warehouse, all weather conditions. Work Monday-Friday, plus Saturdays as needed. Assist in making sure daytime workload is completed before leaving. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to use a framing hammer, electric saw, pneumatic nail gun, and any other equipment necessary for the job. Ability to read a tape measure. Must have reliable transportation. Shoes that are puncture-resistant, slip-resistant, and made of leather or composite material required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods. Ability to bend and kneel repetitively. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds and carry objects 50 feet. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to utilize all appropriate safety equipment. Ability to be active for 8-10 hours a day (throwing lumber, getting on/off the table, swinging hammer, etc.).
