We are currently seeking a professional and organized Legal Secretary to support our litigation and legal teams with high-quality clerical and administrative assistance. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented legal environment. Responsibilities include: Draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence Prepare and file documents with state and federal courts (including e-filing) Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files Schedule appointments, depositions, court dates, and meetings for attorneys Answer and route phone calls and correspondence in a professional manner Assist with trial preparation, document assembly, and exhibit organization Ensure deadlines are tracked and met according to court requirements Perform general administrative duties such as scanning, copying, and managing mail Skills & Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal secretary (personal injury experience preferred) Knowledge of California court rules and litigation procedures Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus We offer an excellent compensation package including: Guaranteed Competitive pay plan Proficiency/performance bonus 401K 80 hours of vacation the first year of employment Paid Holidays Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Supplemental insurance Opportunity for advancement At BD&J, we have a clear vision: to be the place where a diverse mix of talented people want to come, stay, and do their best work.
