Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN)Currently seeking a competent Registered Nurse to provide both routine and complex care in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independent practice while being aware of all relevant aspects of patient care. This position requires the ability to manage contingent clinical situations and delegate responsibilities as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesUtilize the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families based on their nursing practice level.Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers, while identifying any issues and available resources.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.Licenses and Certifications: Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact state license; BLS certification via AHA required.Work ScheduleThis is a full-time position with a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Flexibility for blocked scheduling and weekend requirements is essential, with 2 to 4 shifts per month rotated among staff members.Additional InformationThe Registered Nurse will be required to float to all Med/Surg departments. The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:5-6. An understanding of the EMR system, specifically EPIC, is essential for this role.Client Details City Santa Fe State NM
