This job creates the Starbucks Experience for Hersheypark customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Greet guests and take Food & Beverage orders while communicating with other team members within the employee’s scheduled location* Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team and customers* Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues* Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer‑comes‑first attitude and connecting with the customer, ensuring adherence to all Starbucks brand standards* Ring in and properly tender orders into a register* Clean, sanitize, and sweep/mop work areas to include food prep areas, other food contact surfaces, patio/condiment areas, and floors/walkways* Store and rotate stock and food items within assigned work locations* Perform opening and closing procedures related to the assigned Food & Beverage location as directed by shift supervisors* Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must be 16 years of age or older on the date of applying Post‑employment: Must be able to complete and pass Barista certification within 30 days of hire Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts and Starbucks guidelines Must be able to work independently and be self‑motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times Must be friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, and be able to interact with guests Must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and/or working under high‑stress situations Job Demands: Must be able to work flexible hours, including morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 7:00AM and ending as late as 1:00AM, in accordance with Child Labor Laws Must be able to work at least 4 shifts a week, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and one shift per week in the off‑season Must be able to work at least three (3) closing shifts per week Must be comfortable with exposure to cleaning chemicals Physical requirements include the ability to stand for up to five hours at a time, walk, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Work is almost exclusively outdoors. Employee must provide proper footwear (all black, non‑skid/nonslip sneaker) Employee must complete proper Starbucks training material prior to working their first shift.
