Mon- Friday | 7am -2pm |$22
- Overtime possible and mandatory
Prep Cook Requirements
- Basic mathematical skills required for measuring ingredients, portioning food, and following recipes
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredient handling, and kitchen operations
- Minimum 1 year of prep cook, food preparation, or food service experience preferred
About the Prep Cook Role
As a Prep Cook, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing ingredients according to recipes, production sheets, and supervisor instructions
- Safely operating kitchen equipment and utilizing proper knife skills for cutting, chopping, and portioning ingredients (knife handling, kitchen safety)
- Maintaining compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures
- Measuring and portioning ingredients accurately to ensure product consistency
- Washing, peeling, slicing, and preparing fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients for service
- Monitoring food temperatures and properly storing products to maintain quality and safety
- Cleaning and sanitizing workstations, utensils, equipment, and food preparation areas
- Assisting cooks and kitchen staff with food production and service preparation as needed
- Rotating inventory and properly labeling products according to company procedures
- Following all company safety standards and maintaining a clean, organized work environment
