About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Active RN license - ACLS certification - BLS certification - ICU experience Description: This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse. The unit has 16 beds. Patient ratios are 2:1, with occasional 1:1 or 3:1 assignments based on acuity and staffing. The unit is staffed with a unit secretary during dayshift. There may be an occasional nurse extern working as a tech. Typical equipment used includes ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000. Documentation is done through a designated system. Scheduling is required for a minimum of 4 weekend shifts over each 4-week schedule. There is some self-scheduling, but the manager may adjust shifts for balance. Contract labor may be expected to float to med/surg if needed. Patient experience is a priority, requiring compassionate care for patients and family members. Certified skills required include ACLS and BLS. Dress code consists of navy scrubs for both tops and bottoms. We welcome nurses interested in advanced skills such as central line insertion, arterial line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions.
