Some technical requirements for this position are: Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a computer terminal. Some bending and stretching required. Ability to lift papers or boxes up to 30 pounds occasionally. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required for use of calculators, phones, computer keyboards and other equipment. Requires ability to sustain concentration in a noisy and fast-paced environment. May be exposed to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Day to Day: Interview applicants to obtain eligibility information, with sensitivity toward clients’ needs. Conduct a client interview that includes a medical history, anthropometric measurements, 24-hour recall, and hematocrit. Maintain confidentiality of clients and staff. Correctly interpret eligibility information and document this information in a computer file. Provide nutrition and health education to clients; educate clients about WIC rules and regulations. Refer clients as needed to other community resources. Issue benefits and schedule clients. Participate in quality assurance standards through peer review. Nutrition related projects as requested; participate in staff in-service meetings; clerical tasks as needed; assume janitorial duties as required. Maintain organized, t bin ... ......
