Planning, Research and Statistics Intern, DOC (College)

You will work with administrative data and assist in creating tools, reports, and visualizations used across the bureau. As a Planning, Research and Statistics Intern, you will perform the following duties: Data Analysis: Analyze administrative and research data using SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools Research Support: Prepare, interpret, and present information for research and evaluation projects Workforce Studies: Assist with staff retention research and workforce data analysis Dashboard Creation: Develop dashboards, reports, and other analytical products Project Assistance: Support additional analytics and evaluation tasks based on bureau priorities Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position, Hourly Rate: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $17.88 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS

Internship Requirement: Must be a current graduate student majoring in data science, economics, public policy, criminology, sociology, statistics, or a related field. Additional Requirements: You must have strong quantitative research and data analysis skills. You must have strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Criteria: Experience with Power BI or other data analysis and visualization tools Experience with SQL and Excel Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
