Position Details Job Title: Part Time Faculty for Nurse Clinical Instructor (Pediatrics, OB, Psych/Mental Health, Med-Surg., Community Health) Job Type: Part-Time Location: Rogers Park-Lake Shore Campus & Hybrid ABSN Program-Downers Grove, IL Site (School of Nursing) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Open Until Filled: Yes Salary $1961.17/credit (master's prepared); $2171.30/credit (doctorally prepared). Prepares in advance to plan, supervise, teach and evaluate student learning in clinical courses, including simulation and laboratory-based learning and preceptor-based practicum experiences. Employs a variety of innovative teaching techniques in the clinical setting to promote critical thinking and clinical competency, achieving course outcomes that reflect evidence‑based approaches to instruction. Demonstrates proficiency in patient‑centered care, teamwork, quality improvement, safety, evidence‑based practice, and informatics. Collaborates with didactic instructional faculty in the planning and implementation of clinical learning experiences. Maintains satisfactory working relationships with colleagues within the School of Nursing. Maintains an advanced level of practice in a well‑defined area of clinical practice that informs teaching. Maintains certification in an area of specialty expertise (Pediatrics, OB, Psych/Mental Health, Med‑Surg., Community Health). Qualifications Master's Degree or higher with a major in Nursing. Current state of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse License. Ability to work in a healthcare environment. Licensure in Illinois as a Registered Nurse or eligibility for Illinois RN licensure. Certification in a specialty area preferred. Recent teaching experience in a clinical setting (desirable). Doctoral degree (desirable). Application Requirements Letter of interest. Curriculum vitae.
