Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Christiansburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for shoppers and team members while documenting observations and working collaboratively with site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stockroom areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
