Experienced Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Roanoke Rapids, NCAre you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a rewarding career in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Our Roanoke Rapids Mill team is seeking experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to help maintain and repair state-of-the-art paperboard manufacturing equipment.Pay Range: $31.19 – $41.56 per hour (based on education and experience)What You'll DoWork alongside experienced mentors to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance.Support continuous improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for unplanned shutdowns.Maintain and troubleshoot advanced control systems (DCS, PLC).Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for process control systems.Complete work orders, documentation, and change control procedures accurately.Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines.Mechanical responsibilities may include:Valve and gasket replacement, pump repair/repacking, welding (basic), forklift operation, pipe and tubing installation, cylinder and motor repair, and maintenance of mechanical drive systems.What You Need to SucceedMinimum age: 18High School Diploma or GED requiredTwo-year technical degree, registered apprenticeship, or equivalent formal training3+ years of heavy industrial maintenance experienceMulti-skilled maintenance background (mechanical and electrical)Knowledge of mechanical drives, pumps, seals, hydraulics, and lubricationWelding experience (stick, MIG, TIG)Machine shop skills (lathes, boring, balancing, CNC)Ability to work weekends/holidays and in varying conditions (heat, noise, indoor/outdoor)What Will Put You Ahead5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentReady to take the next step in your career?
