Perioperative Support Technician- Elliot 1-Day Surgery Center- (32 hour/week)

Job Overview The Elliot 1 Day Surgery Center Operating Room at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire, provides minimally invasive surgical procedures. This role assists the Registered Nurse and the healthcare team with patient care duties in surgical services. Responsibilities Ensure the availability and preparedness of supplies and equipment needed to support efficient and effective perioperative processes. Gather supplies and instruments needed for patient procedures. Maintain anesthesia machine and cart by checking for all necessary equipment and supplies prior to the start of each case, cleaning after each case, and restocking according to established par levels. Uphold an environment that consistently meets all safety, infection control, and quality standards. Support anesthesia and operating room personnel to ensure the cleanliness of equipment and support patient safety. Promote continuity in surgery turnover time. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient operating room suite. Transport specimens, equipment, and supplies between departments and patient care areas as needed. Maintain a professional, respectful, and effective patient care and working environment through consistent interpersonal and communication skills. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications One year of experience in a hospital operating room or ambulatory surgery center preferred. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Medical Technician Certification from the State of New Hampshire required unless another current NH state license is held. BLS required. Knowledge of practices and techniques used in a support role in an operating room. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits starting the first of the month following start date.
