POSITION SUMMARY

The Residential Services Program Coordinator supports daily residential operations and helps foster a safe, structured and supportive environment, while assisting with programmatic and service needs. This role combines basic case management, recovery programming, and housing operations, ensuring residents are supported in their treatment goals and that the residence remains compliant with house policies, recovery/HUD housing standards, and applicable regulations. The Coordinator serves as a consistent non-clinical support and operational leader within the home, exercising independent judgment in coordinating programming, resident support, and day-to-day operational decisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Resident Support & Case Management

  • Conduct resident check-ins and random searches in accordance with agency policy and applicable regulations to assess treatment progress, housing stability and safety, and support needs
  • Assist residents in developing and maintaining resident-driven treatment goal plans
  • Provide basic, non-clinical case management support, including:
  1. Referrals to treatment providers, medical care, employment services, legal resources, and community supports
  2. Assistance with scheduling appointments and navigating systems of care
  • Monitor resident engagement in treatment goal activities and house expectations
  • Identify early warning signs of relapse or destabilization and follow established protocols for support and escalation, including administering randomized urinalysis tests when authorized by policy
  • Maintain appropriate documentation related to resident support, referrals, and incidents

Residential Programming & Community Engagement

  • Coordinate and facilitate case management programming, such as:
  1. Life skills and/or Social skills groups
  2. Recovery education and Relapse Prevention discussions
  • Facilitate or support house meetings, ensuring structure, accountability, and respectful communication
  • Encourage resident participation in mutual aid, peer supports, and community-based activities
  • Promote a culture of peer accountability, mutual respect, and treatment goal engagement
  • Support residents in building strengths and protective factors that promote positive treatment outcomes for independent living

Housing Operations & Safety

  • Alongside the Residential Services Program Manager, conduct and/or assist with:
  1. Resident room checks
  2. Property walk-throughs
  3. Safety and wellness checks
  • Conduct searches in accordance with agency Search Policy and Procedure
  • Monitor compliance with house rules and Code of Conduct
  • Address minor conflicts or rule violations using restorative and recovery-oriented approaches
  • Ensure Residences remain free from alcohol, illicit drugs, and prohibited items
  • Assist with move-in and move-out processes, including orientations and exit planning
  • Coordinate with maintenance or leadership regarding property needs and safety concerns

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policy
  • Complete incident reports related to safety concerns, prohibited items, or behavioral issues
  • Always ensure confidentiality of resident information
  • Support compliance with housing standards (e.g., NARR/CARR), Fair Housing laws, and agency policies
  • Participate in audits, site reviews, or certification activities as needed

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between residents and leadership
  • Communicate concerns, trends, or needs to supervisory staff in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with external partners such as treatment providers, probation/parole officers (with appropriate releases), and community organizations
  • Model professional boundaries, ethical behavior, and resident-centered leadership

WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Ability to move throughout a residential setting, including stairs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to transition between Residential Residence and Outpatient Clinics, as needed
  • Ability to drive independently between Residential Residences
  • Ability to transport Residents within service area
Requirements:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field
  • Additional Addictions-level certifications preferred (CAS, CAT, LAC)

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Recovery Housing, 202/8 HUD Properties, Behavioral Health, Case Management, Corrections-based care, or related Human Services
  • Familiarity with NARR, ORH, or State HUD and recovery housing standards
  • Current QMAP certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Past Residential Treatment, HUD Housing or Sober Living programming experience

  • Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently demonstrating a high degree of resourcefulness and creativity and minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with diverse individuals.
  • Demonstrable emotional intelligence sufficient to recognize and overcome communication barriers and ability to work cohesively and effectively as both a team member and a team leader.
  • Strong technology skills including consistently demonstrating the ability to learn, utilize, and improve technological data, platforms, and information.
  • Ability to effectively moderate large groups.
  • Ability to travel within the Center’s service area, when needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous personal skill development and growth sufficient to ensure the continued success and engagement of agency staff.
