Our neighborhood therapy centers make it easy for families to access a comprehensive approach to therapy, offering Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, ABA Therapy, and Feeding/Swallowing Therapy in one center.Through play, acceptance, and joy, we embrace the complexities of each child, striving to create functional outcomes that enhance their quality of life.Why Join Us?Make a Meaningful Impact: Play a vital role in supporting children’s therapy services, ensuring every administrative task contributes directly to happier, healthier pediatric outcomes.Collaborative Family Atmosphere: Join a close-knit team that values open communication, mutual support, and celebrates each other’s successes.Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Receive a comprehensive package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and retirement matching.Community-Centered Culture: Be part of an organization committed to outreach, family education events, and local partnerships that enhance our community impact.Your ImpactAs a Clinic Support Specialist at MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy, you will:Create a Welcoming First Impression - You’ll greet families at the door, guide them to the waiting area, and ensure all intake paperwork and questionnaires are completed—setting the tone for a professional, caring experience.Support Therapist–Family Communication - When parents are delayed, you’ll stay with clients, keep them engaged, and proactively contact family members—helping maintain continuity of care and peace of mind.Streamline Information Flow - By processing, sorting, and routing mail, email, and faxes for Speech and OT staff, you ensure that critical referrals, reports, and updates reach the right people without delay.Optimize Schedules - You’ll coordinate client appointments, manage staff meetings, and sync therapists’ availability—maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.Manage New Client Onboarding - From paperwork through patient-portal setup in our EMR, you guide new families through every step—ensuring a smooth, compliant start to services.Enhance Therapy Preparation - You’ll prepare materials, tidy therapy rooms, and support clients and parents as directed—enabling therapists to focus fully on effective intervention.Maintain Authorization and Billing Readiness - By communicating with case managers and insurers to add and update service authorizations, you keep treatment plans active and minimize payment interruptions.Oversee Clinic Supplies - Monitoring inventory and fulfilling supply orders or pickups ensures that therapists always have the tools they need to deliver quality care.Execute Essential Administrative Tasks - Through filing, data entry, record updates, competitive research, and other duties, you keep our operations running smoothly and our data accurate.Contribute to Team Success - You’ll take on additional projects as assigned by the Regional Operations Manager, Clinic Director, or Clinical staff—bringing flexibility and initiative to every aspect of clinic life.QualificationsAssociate’s Degree required1-3 years of relevant experience, i.e.: office management, experience with children, &/or children with disabilitiesOutstanding organizational skillsAbility to work with children, parents and/or people with disabilitiesAbility to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks appropriately with strong attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitted to providing exceptional customer serviceProficient computer skills and able to operate general office equipment (printer, fax etc.) requiredCPR certification requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 requiredPhysical & Environmental RequirementsProlonged Sitting and Desk Work: Remaining seated for extended periods (up to 6+ hours per day) while performing computer-based tasks, filing, scheduling, and data entry.Frequent Computer Use & Fine Motor Skills: Continuous use of keyboards, mice, and other office equipment; tasks require precise finger dexterity for typing, filing, and handling small office supplies.Visual Acuity Requirements: Ability to read printed materials and computer screens for data entry, document review, and patient records.Telephone & Verbal Communication: Constant phone interaction; clear speech and active listening are essential for scheduling appointments, addressing inquiries, and coordinating with clinical staff.Light to Moderate Lifting: Lifting and carrying office supplies, paper reams (up to 20 lbs), patient folders, small equipment, or mail bins; occasional need to move office furniture or equipment.Mobility within Facility: Walking between offices, therapy rooms, and other areas; negotiating stairs or uneven flooring; ability to navigate a busy, sometimes crowded reception area.Stressful or Fast-Paced Environment: Managing multiple administrative tasks and patient needs concurrently; ability to prioritize under pressure and maintain composure during peak periods.Shared Workspace & Open Office Setting: Working in cubicles or open-plan areas, which may include background noise from phones, printers, or conversations.Exposure to Common Office Hazards: Potential for paper cuts, minor repetitive strain injuries (e.g., carpal tunnel), and ergonomic risks—requires adherence to proper workstation setup and occasional use of ergonomic aids.Compliance with Infection Control Practices: Regular hand hygiene, occasional use of gloves or masks when handling patient documents or escorting patients, and adherence to office sanitization protocols.When interacting and assisting with clients:Active & Engaged Work – Kneeling, bending and playing at ground level.Hands-On Support – Lifting up to 50+ lbs may be required.Quick Reflexes – Ability to respond to behaviors such as elopement (running away) or aggressive actions.Loud or Noisy Environments – Working with active children in dynamic settings.Potential Exposure to Bodily Fluids – Assisting with hygiene or accidental incidents.LocationEast LansingStatusFull-timeScheduleMonday-Friday, 10am-6pm (exact schedule to be determined by clinic need)Compensation$18-$22/hour commensurate with experience and qualificationsFull-Time Benefits401(k) with 4% match (fully vested after 90 days)Medical, dental, and vision benefits100% employer-paid group life and long-term disability insurance3 weeks PTO (120 hours) in your first year11 paid holidays annuallyEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)529 college savings planAdditional Perks for CliniciansAnnual conference budget and Free CEUs (no PTO required to attend!)Opportunities to supervise Clinical Fellows and grad studentsOpportunities to present at state and national conferencesOpportunities to participate in research activitiesPathways for career advancement – Clinic
