Construction Quality Manager

OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a Quality Manager I for our Data Center Group in Goodyear, AZ. The role focuses on the implementation, improvement, and execution of the Quality Management System (QMS) and project‑specific quality program requirements to ensure that design and construction projects comply with company and contract policies, procedures, and system requirements. The incumbent will serve as a quality champion for one or more projects, guiding teams toward safe, efficient, and profitable execution. RESPONSIBILITIES Champion quality on assigned projects to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable execution. Coach, mentor, and train project staff on quality principles, procedures, and project‑specific requirements. Lead quality processes including work planning, pre‑activity meetings, material management, and inspection coordination. Develop and implement inspection, test, and quality control plans; support material specification reviews. Establish, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Quality Incident Reports (QIRs) for continuous improvement. Audit project quality programs and provide improvement strategies based on KPI trends. Provide feedback to Operations and Quality Management on major QIRs, team relationships, owner/client perceptions, and recurring non‑conformances. Manage inspection, testing and documentation, coordinate with operations, consultants, laboratories, and clients. Monitor project quality costs, rework costs, and provide recommendations to optimize billing, risk reporting, and testing accuracy. Maintain relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, and design partners to support issue resolution and risk mitigation. QUALIFICATIONS AEC Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related field experience (e.g., International Code Counsel, NICET). USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred; industry testing/inspection certifications accepted. Level1 QCM experience. Minimum seven years of AEC experience, with at least three years in a quality role. Good communication, critical thinking, problem‑solving, prioritization, organization, and time‑management skills. Strong knowledge of standards, specifications, and industry publications. Limited travel for projects as necessary.
