As our Radiation Oncology Physician, you will join our collegial team at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. As part of our team, you will work alongside local and regional cancer care specialists, all dedicated to improving quality, enhancing patient experience, and advancing clinical standards for those we serve.

\n Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families.

\n To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Radiation Oncologist, You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
\n Have an interest in GU, CNS, and lung cancers, experience with HDR brachytherapy (GYN and prostate) and radiosurgery experience, but still be comfortable treating all disease sites.

• Be capable of working at multiple locations that include Seattle and nearby locations in Burien and Federal Way.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams
\n
• Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients
\n
• Offer guidance and support to patients and families regarding educational resources and community services
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care
\n
• Stay current with research and best practices in Radiation Oncology to provide evidence-based care
\n

Required

\n
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
\n
• Successful completion of residency training in an ACGME accredited program.
\n
• Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Medical Specialties
\n
• Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Washington
\n
• Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority in Washington State
\n
• Proven ability to work in an integrated multidisciplinary environment
\n
• Has a commitment to patient and team-centered medicine
\n
• Has outstanding interpersonal relationships with peers, administrators and staff
\n
• Has an interest in community-based radiation oncology within a highly integrated system
\n

• 2+ years experience following training

• Active Washington State Medical License

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) Cancer Care represents a system of oncology services distributed across Western Washington, including 10 hospitals. We provide fully integrated cancer care supported by Hematologist/Oncologists, Surgeons, Pulmonologists, Radiologists, Pathologists and Primary Care. Our cancer programs are accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer.

The VMFH Radiation Oncology service has multidisciplinary patient clinics, multidisciplinary site specific prospective tumor boards and actively participates in NCI and industry sponsored clinical trials. Our locations include the specialty site at Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, along with community based locations at St. Anne’s Hospital in Burien, St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, and St. Michael’s Medical Center in Silverdale, WA.

VMFH system-wide Radiation Oncology offers Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT/VMAT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Low Dose Rate brachytherapy, High Dose Rate brachytherapy, and Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRS/SBRT).
