Inventory Coordinator

Opened in 1988, our Marysville location is the largest site of the Smith Gardens family consisting of 60 acres, with 500,000 square feet of greenhouse space. Marysville is the primary site for perennial production, but also grows mums, hanging baskets and annuals. We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Coordinator tojoin our Inventory Department. The Inventory Coordinator monitors inventory levels and accuracy through physical audits of crop, maintains the integrity of Sage GV and contracted product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Count inventory and ensure accuracy in Sage GV. Evaluate inventory daily and adjust inventory ready dates in Sage GV based on sales demand, specification changes, and plant readiness. Perform daily inventory adjustments as directed. Maintain accurate plant inventory levels in collaboration with the Inventory Manager. Ensure Sage GV inventory data remains accurate (current and future). Perform weekly cycle counts, comparing physical counts to system records, and analyze any discrepancies found. Act as the primary contact for coordinating and receiving contract-product. Monitor orders using committed items reports and ensure the selecting master is accurate for next day pulls. Assist in maintaining and updating the contract-grown spreadsheet. Create and distribute the weekly Inventory by Location Report for selecting section growers and spray technicians. Track and verify dump records by entering and auditing dump reports. Audit transplant records as needed. Assist with coordinating end-of-year inventory audits. Update the corporate sales PUSH/FOCUS LIST regularly. Analyze and communicate which crops are saleable to the relevant teams. Meet deadlines related to customer PO processes. Evaluate plant quality and communicate any issues to the growing team. Ensure crops remain properly identified with T Tags and Flags. Support the shipping department supervisor with crop-related issues during shipping. Monitor and oversee online crop readiness by managing digital tools and platforms to track crop growth stages. Assist with various administrative duties, including front desk and HR tasks, as needed. Comfortable learning and operating both proprietary and external computer systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and efficiently. Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively. Prior experience in a greenhouse or nursery environment is preferred. Basic plant knowledge is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, during busy seasons. Capable of performing duties in both office and greenhouse environments. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, often in varying seasonal temperatures and conditions.

PAY RANGE

$23.57 - $25.57 Pay rate is determined by various components including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The pay rate is one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards vary by position and location.
