Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Gastroenterology & Bronchoscopy Procedural Sedation – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Day and evening coverage with weeknight call requirement. Flexibility to stay past scheduled shift end time as needed to complete daily procedures.

Highlights:

• Perform moderate sedation for GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care across all levels including PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Utilize RN-driven sedation assessment approach based on Ramsay Sedation Scale scoring
• Work within a Magnet-designated Level 1 Trauma Center environment with Epic EMR
• Daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms with 1:1 patient ratio
• 20 hours of orientation provided; contract includes two pre-approved time-off periods

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state license (pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in procedural sedation and recovery
• Level 1 Trauma Center or equivalent academic medical center experience required
• Recent experience recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures (ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy)
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria apply: 100% accuracy on lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
