Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is currently seeking a Lead CAD Mapping Specialist to support the Energy division, new construction and design team in Houston Texas.Job Description:Uses CADD Civil 3D with engineering input and standards to design pipelines and plan and profile drawingsCommunicate project specific pipeline design issues with engineering teamTake direction from engineering team and project managers on required design changesImports Survey data and surfaces to build design basefilesTracks project design changes Performs complex CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of the managerDecisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlinesUnderstands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutionsDetermines methods and procedures on new assignmentsLeads less experienced drafters, showing them how to complete more complex tasks and showing them how the design changes impact individual drawings that need updatingAssists in drawing production as needed to meet project deadlinesQualificationsMinimum Requirements: BA/BS in Engineering Design or Drafting and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Preferred Qualifications:8 years of pipeline design (plan and profile design) in Civil3D-8 years pipeline horizontal direction drill design-8 years of IFB/IFC pipeline alignment sheet plan and profile drawing creation-5+ years of pipeline typical drawings and permit drawing creation-8 years working with civil survey data for pipeline design- Layer management and editing symbology

• Creating map templates and sheet frames
• Familiarity with data shortcuts
• Creating and editing surfaces and surface profiles
• Reading survey points and point groups
• Working with offset alignments
• Creating KMZs and exporting shapefiles
• Handling XREFs and large basefilesPrevious experience utilizing Blue Sky Lightning Alignment Sheet Cutter Software.Knowledge of Arcmap GIS Mapping and Analysis Software.Previous experience leading and/or mentoring less experienced mappers.Additional InformationRelocation is not available for this positionSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this positionAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
