Clinical Supervisor

Donald Phillips Oral Surgery 2295 Parklake Dr NE, Suite 240 Atlanta, GA 30345 Lead Clinical Excellence in Oral Surgery Donald Phillips Oral Surgery is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Supervisor to lead our clinical team and support the delivery of exceptional patient care. This role combines hands‑on clinical responsibilities with leadership and operational oversight to ensure a safe, efficient, and patient‑centered surgical environment. The ideal candidate is a skilled dental or surgical assistant with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for developing team members while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily clinical operations and workflow Lead training, onboarding, and development of clinical team members Coordinate and participate in morning huddles with providers and office leadership Assist surgeons during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical trays Maintain infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards Monitor inventory and order implants, grafting materials, and clinical supplies Coordinate prescriptions and ensure timely processing Follow up on medical clearances, pathology reports, and laboratory cases Present treatment plans and review pre‑operative and post‑operative instructions with patients Serve as a patient advocate throughout treatment Assist with scheduling, phone support, and front office functions when needed Maintain clinical logs, documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements Qualifications Required Minimum of 3–5 years of dental assisting experience At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, radiography, and infection control procedures Experience with dental practice management software and electronic health record systems Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast‑paced surgical environment Preferred Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting, Surgical Assisting, or Scrub Technician program Dental assisting or surgical assisting certification Oral surgery or operating room experience Current state‑required licensure and certifications BLS or BCLS certification What We Offer Competitive compensation Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development Collaborative and supportive team environment Meaningful work that positively impacts patients' lives A culture focused on excellence, integrity, teamwork, and respect Physical Requirements This position requires prolonged standing during surgical procedures, attention to detail, frequent patient interaction, and occasional lifting of supplies and equipment.
