Job Title: Manufacturing Technician II - Cell Culture
Location: Oceanside, CA 92056
Pay Rate: $31.77/hr W2
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary:
Support front-line manufacturing of viral vector products in a cGMP environment. The technician will perform manufacturing processes involving cell culture, single-use systems, transfection, viral vector harvest, and filling operations while following SOPs, batch records, GMP, and GDP requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute manufacturing processes according to SOPs, batch records, and cGMP requirements.
• Perform weighing of raw materials and inventory transactions using MES/EBS .
• Perform mammalian cell culture using flasks, CellSTACK chambers, and single-use bioreactors.
• Assist with transfection and viral vector harvest .
• Perform cell culture and filling operations using proper aseptic technique .
• Prepare and use single-use systems for solution formulation and filter integrity testing.
• Assist with manual and automated filling of viral vector material.
• Identify and escalate processing or equipment issues.
• Support revisions of SOPs, MPRs, and controlled documents.
• Review in-process cGMP documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with MSAT, Facilities & Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Follow safety, GMP, GDP, and clean manufacturing practices.
• Work off-shifts and weekends as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, OR associate's degree + 2 years of manufacturing/quality/engineering experience in biotech or pharma, OR High school diploma + 3 years of relevant biotech/pharma manufacturing, quality, or engineering experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Biology or related scientific degree.
• Biopharmaceutical, cell therapy, or gene therapy manufacturing experience.
• cGMP knowledge.
• Manufacturing documentation and batch records.
• Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
