Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of technical procedures that require rational independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in performing routine and critical care cardiopulmonary procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

What you will do in this role:

• You will deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.

• You will utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks, high flow oxygen devices and bipap vision.

• You will collect and analyze arterial blood gas samples.

• You will assemble, perform verification check, and operate ventilators.

• You will perform EKGS testing and processing for interpretation.

• You will perform electrode hook up for Holter Monitoring.

• You will perform EEG, PFT, and Bronch Assisting as appropriate.

What qualifications you will need:

• STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Associate Degree
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor,
• State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), or Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT), or State Registered Respiratory Therapist must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
