Overview:

Due to continued growth, Discovery at Home is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant in Sarasota County, FL, to serve the Discovery Commons - South Biscayne and Aston Garden Pelican Point campuses. There is the potential to see patients in their homes in the surrounding areas of these buidlings.

Full-time is preferred, 40 hours per week are available. Part-time and PRN candidates will also be considered.

Caseload / Patient Population:

The Physical Therapist Assistant will primarily work within assisted and independent living communities, with some home visits possible within the community. The patient population is primarily geriatric, with most cases under Medicare Part A Home Health, along with some Part B.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive hourly rate in the range of $30 - $43 per hour, which increases based on experience and qualifications.

Work hours are flexible, with availability required Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., subject to scheduling agreements with each patient. Weekend shifts are optional, but not required. No major holidays!

Job Requirements:

• Eligible for FL state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Must have a current CPR certification.

• New grad PTAs will be supported and mentored.

• Previous experience in home health is preferred, but not required.

• Full-time is preferred, 40 hours per week are available.

• Part-time and PRN candidates will also be considered.

• Open to candidates who require sponsorship to work in the United States.

• Background Screening Requirement: Employment in Florida is contingent upon completion of a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida AHCA requirements.
