Infrastructure Field Technician

Old Dominion University

The Infrastructure Field Technician is responsible for the hands-on installation, maintenance, and support of physical security systems infrastructure and integrated devices. This role supports daily operations, service requests, and project implementations across campus environments, ensuring reliable performance and adherence to standards.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Familiarity with cabling systems, access control, and video surveillance technologies.
Ability to read basic technical drawings and follow installation plans.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
