Funds Management Representative

The Funds Management Representative at Talus is responsible for addressing abnormalities in the daily funding flow between Talus and our merchants. Agents in this role will handle merchant inquiries via phone, email or chat related to missing deposits, funding holds, chargeback disputes, bank account changes, and specialized funding structures like merchant cash advance holdbacks. This role also processes equipment purchase payments and works to resolve merchant ACH Rejects that could delay merchant deposits.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process, verify and execute merchant bank account updates securely
• Resolving daily and monthly ACH Reject to restart delayed funding pipelines
• Provide frontline support to merchants facing chargebacks
• Reconcile Debit Network Fees and handle complex funding corrections within the settlement system
• Track and verify UCC Liens against merchant files to assess liability and repayment ability
• Review accounts placed on automatic funding holds to determine root cause
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all matters related to delayed deposits and reserve releases
• Identify and report issues that could cause negative monetary impact to the company
• Process merchant refunds and credits accurately and timely
• Apply Investigation fees as determined by Risk
• Process Clearing and Settlement Rejects via TSYS online reject system
• Complete CRM Tickets within SLA Standards

Required Skills/Abilities

• Two (2) years or more of payment processing, banking operations or fintech experience, specifically dealing with merchant funding, clearing, or settlement systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a strong ability to manipulate large financial datasets, clean raw processing log and use formulas to automate reconciliation tasks
• Strong understanding of the payments lifecycle, chargeback cycles, and how ISO's manage liability
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot patterns, anomalies, and structural errors within massive data sheets
• Ability to communicate technical financial concepts clearly and professionally to internal teams and directly to merchants during sensitive funding discussions.
