Barista Company: Qargo Coffee Location: In-person (Inside of the Elgin Meijer) Job Summary: Qargo Coffee is looking for a motivated and energetic Barista/Cashier to join our growing team. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional coffee experience and ensuring smooth store operations. Responsibilities:
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
- Prepare and serve coffee beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos.
- Greet customers, take orders, and answer menu-related questions.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area and clean equipment.
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food and beverage handling.
- Assist with food preparation (e.g., sandwiches or pastries).
- Upsell additional products or promotions.
- Collaborate with team members for efficient operations.
- Time management for multitasking and prioritizing orders.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic math.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and blends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Sales and upselling skills.
- Basic food preparation skills.
- Drive-thru
