Job Details Location: MD, Westover - Eastern Correctional Institution (Westover, MD 21890) Position Type: Full-Time Education Level: Professional Degree Travel: None Shift: Day (Monday - Friday) Job Category: Medical Physician & Advanced Practice Provider Compensation Sign-on Bonus: $25,000 Responsibilities Conduct medical assessments and evaluations. Provide treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues. Provide and supervise medical treatment for chronic medical conditions. Participate in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. Work under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director. Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or ability to obtain one. Board Certified/Eligible in FM, IM, or EM Primary Care. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and CDS registration. Ability to pass credentialing and background check. Correctional Healthcare experience preferred (not required).
