Child Care Workforce Specialist

Child Start, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Child Care Workforce Specialist to enhance the quality and accessibility of childcare services in our community. This position involves supporting childcare providers by offering training, resources, and support to ensure high standards of care and education for children. The Specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to advance workforce development initiatives within the childcare sector. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic recruitment campaigns to identify, attract, and onboard qualified family childcare providers. Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, workforce agencies, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to expand recruitment pipelines. Answer questions via phone, internet, and in person regarding childcare, child development, and curriculum concerns. Carry out on-site technical assistance for home-based childcare providers regarding child development, daily programming, business practice, learning environment, and quality improvement. Maintain current information on community resources and guide parents/providers to appropriate referrals as requested. Actively participate in ensuring the program is Quality Assurance certified in best practices. Actively pursue knowledge of linguistic, racial, and ethnic populations in Harvey County to address those populations' needs. Help implement special grant-funded projects as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship. Ability to commute daily to Wichita, KS.
