Speech Language Pathologist
Evaluates and treats patient populations for speech-language therapy needs according to appropriate competency levels.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care, maintains clinical records, and follows performance improvement recommendations.
- Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans.
- Performs skill proficiency requirements as related to experience.
- Aides with department maintenance.
- Utilizes equipment and materials according to standards and identifies new resources desired for projected budget formulation.
- Assists with statistical data collection for performance improvement projects.
- Assists the supervisor with graduate student supervision by supervising SLP students completing clinical rotations.
Skills and Attributes
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience
- No experience required
Education
- Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology required upon hire OR
- Master's degree or higher in related field required upon hire
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- SLP - Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire AND
- BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
