ESL Teacher

ESL Teacher Starting Date: Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Provide English Language development instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing that appropriately aligns with students' needs, WIDA standards, and Massachusetts grade level standards. Continually assess students' English Language Proficiency in order to drive student-focused instruction. Maintain data from a variety of sources on individual students' English Language Proficiency, demographic information, and academic progress. Monitor English Learner student progress in all settings. Administer ACCESS assessments and analyze students' progress. Review student records and educational histories to develop and maintain ELL Student profiles and goals for obtaining English Language and Academic Proficiencies. Communicate with parents and guardians and staff about student placement and progress. Provide outreach and work closely with families of ELLs. Attend and participate in school meetings involving English Learners. Regularly collaborate with content teachers and begin implementing co-teaching models and strategies. Participate in ELL Department Professional Development and meetings and attend monthly MVRHS faculty meetings.
