Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management System
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and applicable statutory regulations.
- Manage document control and quality records.
- Coordinate Management Review meetings and monitor quality objectives.
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers.
- Lead customer complaint investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
- Ensure timely responses to customer concerns and corrective actions.
- Monitor customer scorecards and drive improvement actions.
- Support supplier development and supplier quality performance.
- Participate in supplier audits and corrective action follow-up.
- Review supplier PPAP documentation when required.
- Ensure process controls are effectively implemented.
- Review and approve:
- Control Plans
- PFMEA
- Process Flow Diagrams
- Work Instructions
- Monitor production quality KPIs and initiate improvement projects.
- Lead containment activities for non-conforming products.
- Coordinate APQP activities.
- Prepare and submit PPAP documentation.
- Participate in design and process reviews.
- Ensure successful product launches.
- Plan and manage:
- Internal audits
- Layered Process Audits (LPA)
- Product audits
- Customer audits
- Certification audits
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Lead root cause analysis activities.
- Analyze quality data and identify trends.
- Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Lead and develop the Quality Department.
- Coach quality technicians and inspectors.
- Identify training needs.
- Promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Bachelor's degree in:
- Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Quality Engineering
- Or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Minimum 3 years in a Quality Management role.
- Experience within Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive suppliers preferred.
- Experience with aluminum machining, CNC machining, or metal manufacturing is highly desirable.
